I am a 22 year old female who had a sexual encounter with a stranger at a party 5 days ago. Now my vagina feels extremely itchy and I also have a mild discharge. Is this an STD?
It Is hard to make a definitive diagnosis, but it may be thrush. STDs are very rarely itchy and do not present in such a fashion. Candida is a very common organism in the vagina and is known to cause moniliasis. Go and buy some vaginal suppository for thrush and you should be fine. However, if the itch persists, I would make an attempt to see the doctor. Next time, use a condom.
