I have been diagnosed with OCD. What is a good treatment for
this disorder?
OCD is a difficult disorder to treat. In most cases, the
disorder is treated with a combination of psychotherapy and medications. The
latest antidepressants are useful but the disorder cannot be cured. In most
people, the response to a drug often takes several months. I recommend you speak
to your psychiatrist about the drugs. Psychotherapy alone is not effective for
OCD and must be combined with medications.
